March 30th 2012

We received a fun parcel in the mail yesterday.

It was the most recent issue of Kinfolk Magazine, (the third so far), and Chris and I are in it!

Celine had been asked to do a shoot for the upcoming issue of a couple "revisiting their favourite places that they had visited when they started courting", and she thought of us.  (Thank you, Celine!).  You can visit her website here, and her wonderful blog, here.

We went to the Common and The Universal Grill, (two personal favourites), and made a fun couple of afternoons out of it!

The new issue is beautiful, as always, and full of lots of creative talent!  (Congratulations to Trish Papadakos on her beautiful article about canning peaches at her fiancés family's 200-year-old peach orchard in southern Ontario!).

I lastly wanted to thank everyone who came out for Team Macho's book signing at the AGO a week ago!  It was so much fun!  The new book, The Merlin Years, is beautiful, and Narwhal did a fantastic job putting it together with them.  You can view photos from the signing here.

  3. Such lovely photos of you guys, Melinda. Celine did a wonderful job, and what great subjects. ;)

Thank you also for the mention; so kind of you. You and Chris will have to try and visit the farm this summer for pick your own cherries (usually in June), or the peach festival (in August). I'll let you know when it's time... :)

    1. Thanks Trish! Celine takes pretty magical photos!

And I would LOVE to come down to the farm! I've been thinking about doing peaches this year instead of the 2-3 day tomato extravaganza we usually do every end-of-summer! And they really are a cheery treat during the winter months! (Especially on some vanilla ice cream! Mm!). xo
