Yesterday, I made a delivery.


I'd been asked by John and Juli, (of Mjölk), to do a commission of their two cats.  I had a lot of fun coming up with the idea for this painting.  First off, their cats are beautiful, and were a lot of fun to paint.  But I also wanted to include something in the painting that was very personal to them, so I chose to include their beautiful Berber rug that they acquired while thrifting in Scandinavia.  I thought it was beautifully designed and would be a lot of fun to replicate.  Truth-be-told, it wasn't always fun to paint.  It was quite difficult because, as you can see, there's a fair bit of detail in it.  I'm so happy with the finished project though!


I just finished work on another project with them that I'm excited to show very soon!

    amazing! the end result is perfect! I can't wait to see it in person! I love Isha, she is SO pretty and has such a cute personality (love how she looks like she's always going to sit on the baby!). I wish I had the pleasure of meeting Grover!

      She is! She's such a sweet cat. It was cute; when they opened the painting, they showed it to her. She showed little interest, but we all know she liked it! haha
