Below is the card that Chris and I designed to send to friends and family to thank them for coming. I hope I'm not spoiling any surprises by posting this...
I'm taking part of the afternoon off to go exploring a couple of nearby neighbourhoods that I haven't really been to, and to visit the fruit markets on Roncesvalles. It's far to pretty out there to stay inside all day.
Finally, it's my good friend Jacob Whibley's birthday today, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY YAKOV! Many happy returns.
those cards are beautiful, merlinda.
ReplyDeleteim excited to hear about todays adventures. visiting new neighbourhoods is one of my favorite things to do. its amazing how many there are in toronto and how few we stick to.
i think im ready to come back to the city. i had an unsuccessful pyrex hunt at the local flea market this weekend... so really, my entire existence out here is pointless.
Oh Tony, I spoiled your surprise! (Shoot, I should have remembered that you were away).
ReplyDeleteI'll go into it more, but the adventures weren't as exciting as they could have been if construction weren't ripping up that neighbourhood...
We'll be very happy to have you home! I'm sorry that the Pyrex search wasn't so hot. I'll take you to some church bizarres when you get back. I think there's a good one coming up.
I got your mail! And I am glad you got mine! I really liked the card! Did you gocco it? You are so good with letter correspondence, I am terrible at sending out thank you cards! Such bad etiquette!
ReplyDeleteI want to go to these church bizarres!! You have to let me know when one is coming up!
Celine, absolutely! I know there's one up in the Yonge/Eglinton area in the fall, so I'll drag both you and Anthony up there!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm glad you got the card. I wish I'd waited a few days to post images of it online... oops!
