I'd like to think that some day we'll all settle down in sweet little cabins just like this! For the record, I don't recommend making a gingerbread house like this... it nearly killed me! If I think to, I'll put other photos up on Flickr! See you in the New Year, Celine! xox
I hope to settle on a farm with Jinny one day. And I would love a cabin like this as the farmhouse! Was it hard to make this gingerbread house?? Was it the steep roof that made it hard for the walls to keep it up? Or was it the amount of adorable details you put into it?? I love the icing icicles Melinda!!
Oh, what a dream! And no, the hardest part was getting the sugar syrup to the right consistency to hold the walls together! It kept collapsing! I nearly scrapped the whole thing halfway through! I'm glad I finished it though! And it will be so satisfying to tear the whole thing apart!
Thanks Anabela and Erica! It was a wonderful last year, and this one will be even better! Happy 2011! Anthony, I'm so sad that I missed last night, but I'm glad to hear that you ate the door off the house! Chris said that Peter had a tough go with the chimney! haha! Happy New Year! We'll plan a coffee date soon! xox
that looks like a house I would love to live in Melinda!
